Temple Chevallier FRAS was a British clergyman, astronomer, and mathematician. Between 1847 and 1849, he made important observations regarding sunspots.
He was appointed professor of Mathematics at Durham in 1835, and also professor of astronomy in 1841. He held this appointment until 1871.
